UMF was awarded the Small Business Energy Efficiency Grant by Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for its significant energy savings and emission reductions.  These achievements were made possible with the installation of a state-of-the-art powder coat paint system. 

Powder coating is an increasingly popular finish and one of the major reasons is that, because it is free of solvents, it has a very minimal environmental impact in comparison to traditional wet paint systems.  Powder coat paints are also very uniform and durable, and our customers have noted the difference in an improved finish of UMF's excellent quality steel products.
